Our oceans are getting empty!
Together with volunteers from the Shanghai International Studies University we have interviewed 120 restaurants in
Shanghai to check what type of fish is on the menu and what type of fish is sold on the Shanghai market.
We have then checked with WWF, Montary Bay seafood watch and Greenpeace UK research reports if the fish
is sustainable to eat.
We have found a supplier of sustainable fish in Hong Kong and Walmart will carry their products in the Shanghai location
as a pilot project from June onwards. From March onwards we will contact chefs if they like to join the fishmenu
project and organize a charity dinner on June 8th 2010 - world ocean day.
