Roots and Shoots, a NGO based in Shanghai has developed the project: "Carbon Footprint Tree Planting Program". The trees are planted in the InnerMongolia desert North West China. Their objective is to plant 1,000,000 trees in the coming years.

Why does Marinedream want to be involved in tree planting?
Did you know that Climate Change is the biggest threat to the coral reef? By planting trees we can reduce CO2 emissions and therefor protect the reef.

The reason we like to work with this specific project is that:

	We operate in China and we want to make China greener
	by planting the trees in the desert we prevent further desertification, the roots will hold the soil together
	improve the local economy in the North of China

How can you help this project?
Just go to our donation page and here you can select how many trees you like to donate. Before each planting trip we will buy the trees in your name. The tree planting days are: May, July and October.
